SED-6KJ-Z — Coffee Capsule Filling and Sealing Machine

Empty capsules are dispensed one by one from a storage rod into a mold plate. Nitrogen is flushed into empty capsules and the hopper to maintain a modified atmosphere. A servo-motor-driven filling unit with six nozzles fills ground coffee into each capsule; fill volume is set on the HMI by adjusting pulse and speed parameters. After filling, a coffee press compresses the coffee and a rim-cleaning system removes residual grounds. A pre-cut foil lid is dispensed and placed onto each filled capsule. A pneumatic heat-sealing unit seals the lid at controlled temperature and time. Finished capsules are picked by vacuum suction cups on a rotating arm and deposited onto a 1-metre conveyor belt for output. All stages are tracked by sensors (no-capsule and no-lid detection) controlled by SIEMENS PLC/HMI.
