Products are transported by conveyor and screw to the infeed star wheel and into the turntable detection zone. A cam presses the product into a bottle seat so that the product, cam head and seat form a straight line. The spin motor rotates the product at high speed; before entering the optical detection zone, the brake stops the product's rotation while the liquid inside continues to spin. The light source continuously illuminates the product; industrial cameras capture images at high speed; multi-frame image comparison identifies foreign objects and fill volume. Any detection station identifying a reject causes it to be marked defective. Accepted products are conveyed to the leak-detection screw, where a twisting rail and screw turn them from upright to horizontal; oscillation distributes the liquid, then four high-voltage stations (0–22 kV) test each container for leaks. The leak-detection reject decision overrides the lamp-inspection decision; vacuum-suction star wheels remove rejects into separate channels.
