Funcionamiento
Pre-watered disc-balling method: raw powder is uniformly humidified by atomized water in a twin-shaft mixer to form uniformly sized seed balls (moisture controlled to 12-14%; most water added in mixer, only 0-3% supplemental water added on the disc); seed balls then enter the inclined rotating disc. For dry-powder granulation, powder is added directly on the disc and lightly sprayed with water. Inside the disc, centrifugal force, friction and gravity drive the seed balls along a parabolic path; viscosity and plasticity make them coalesce and grow. With fixed disc tilt, rim height, rotation speed and moisture, granules of different sizes leave the disc rim at different escape angles. As balls roll, internal water migrates to the surface; binder cohesion and natural surface evaporation give the balls strength, and finished granules discharge over the rim with disc rotation.
