Raw water is pumped from the raw-water tank through a quartz-sand filter(suspended-solids removal), an activated-carbon filter(chlorine and organics removal), and a softener(Na⁺ ion-exchange to remove Ca/Mg hardness). Water then passes through a 5-μm precision cartridge filter and a 1st-stage high-pressure pump driving Stage-1 RO(3×4040 polyamide membranes in stainless-steel pressure vessels US4040-1). Stage-1 permeate feeds a 2nd-stage high-pressure pump and Stage-2 RO(2×4040 elements). Final permeate is collected in a 0.5 T sterile-water tank, polished by an in-line UV sterilizer, then distributed by a VFD-controlled supply pump. Automatic membrane-flush solenoid valves backwash on cycle.
