Empty capsules are loaded into the capsule hopper and fed into the magazine un-oriented. From the magazine, capsules enter the sorting block where they are oriented(smaller end down). Capsules are then separated by vacuum — the lower portion retained in the die holes, upper portion inspected. The 10-station rotary table carries the die holes through:(1) capsule orientation and placement,(2–3) vacuum separation,(4–6) 6-station powder tamping and filling(powder homogenizer patent ensures uniform distribution even with poor-flowing powder; dosing disk changeable for fill weight), (7) die-hole cleaning(air blast), (8) cap joining,(9) capsule locking(capsule locking pins with groove), (10) finished capsule ejection and collection. Defective or un-separated capsules are ejected by pins and removed by vacuum. Double-sided grooved inner cam(patent) ensures equal filling force. 85% of lost powder is recovered by the powder collector(patent) and recirculated. Filling structure can be raised easily(patent) for cleaning.
