Fonctionnement

Single-screw radial extrusion. A 1.5 kW motor drives a cycloidal (RV) reducer that rotates a Φ75 mm auger at 60 RPM. The auger pushes wet or dry powder through a perforated SS304 die plate (3 mm thick, choice of hole diameters). Strands are sliced into cylindrical granules by a rotary knife (100 W) whose speed is adjustable to set granule length. A water-cooling jacket surrounding the barrel removes shear heat to protect heat-sensitive products.
