Material from the upstream high-shear mixer-granulator (or fluid-bed dryer for dry-mill mode) is fed into the SUS304 crushing chamber. A 3 kW motor drives 2 mode-made SUS304 knives at 200–900 rpm; knives shear material against the SUS304 sieve producing uniform granules. Sieve aperture and rotor speed control particle size. VFD adjusts speed for varied recipes. Granules drop through the sieve into the next process step.
