Fonctionnement

Electric heating elements directly heat water inside the vessel; product baskets are submerged in water; the lid is closed and the touch screen is used to set temperature (e.g. 121°C) and time. On start, the unit automatically heats to the sterilization temperature. Throughout the cycle an air compressor supplies counter-pressure to the vessel to protect flexible packaging from deformation. On completion the unit automatically drains, refills with cooling water, maintains counter-pressure, and cools to approximately 60–65°C before sounding an alarm. The operator then manually drains and opens the lid to retrieve product.

Nettoyage et entretien

Replace silicone seal after extended use. Descale every approximately 3 months (use deionized or boiled water to prevent scale on heating elements). Lubricate screw bolts and nuts monthly. Cut power and wipe equipment surface dry after each use. Replace safety valve every 6 months; replace pressure gauge and other safety accessories when they lose sensitivity.
