SED-0.5PG-Z Closed-Loop Centrifugal/Two-Fluid Spray Dryer – a lab/pilot-scale nitrogen-inerting spray dryer purpose-built for organic-solvent slurries (methanol, ethanol, cyclohexane, diethyl ether, propyl acetate, aceto
Funcionamiento
Closed-loop nitrogen spray drying with solvent recovery. Slurry is fed by a peristaltic pump (Sinuo YZ15) through silicone tubing to an imported QFN-BL-J-W2019 two-fluid hollow-cone atomizer (60° spray angle, mean droplet < 100 μm, liquid pressure 0.1–0.3 MPa). The atomized slurry meets a stream of heated nitrogen in the Φ220 SUS316L drying tower; solvent evaporates and the dry powder falls to the tower-bottom collection bottle. The exhaust nitrogen stream (now carrying solvent vapor) exits through a cyclone separator and PTFE-coated SUS316L bag filter (≥99% total recovery), then enters the condensation system where the solvent vapor is liquefied at temperatures down to −40 °C (DLSB-50/40 chiller, 5.7 kW; ethanol recovery ≥96%). The dry inert gas is recirculated by a Taiwan DaGang blower (1.3 kW) through an H13 high-efficiency filter back into the heater and drying tower, completing the closed loop. An online oxygen analyzer monitors inert-loop integrity continuously; a nitrogen-line pressure switch prevents operation without adequate N₂ supply. Heating uses a dual-stage system (pre-heater + main heater totalling 5 kW, PID controlled to ±1 °C) to avoid excessive heater-wall temperature.

Limpieza y mantenimiento
Drying tower (Φ220, SUS316L), cyclone, collection bottles, and connection pipes all use sanitary-clamp connections – disassemble without tools for washing. Consumables/wear parts: peristaltic tubing (2 m), stainless-steel clamps, silicone gaskets, bag-filter element, H13 high-efficiency filter – replace per schedule.
