A label roll mounted above the product path unwinds via a servo/stepper-driven traction motor(Leadshine). Photoelectric sensors(SICK) detect the label position and each incoming product. The label is peeled from the backing and pressed onto the top surface of the product by a dispensing plate and roller. The backing film is rewound. Label registration is controlled by the Panasonic PLC with Samkoom HMI interface.
