Cartons are erected from flat blanks and presented vertically with the open top facing up. Product is dropped into the carton from above via a servo/stepper-driven dosing or grouping head. The flaps are then folded and tucked(or glued) to seal the carton. A rejection mechanism ejects defective or misaligned cartons. The entire process sequence — erect, load, seal, reject — is controlled by PLC with touchscreen HMI using internationally branded servo/stepper motors and electronics. Carton size can be adjusted directly on the machine without changing molds.
