Filled capsules enter the feed hopper via a lifting mechanism(or manually). The capsule dropping mechanism releases capsules one by one in vertical alignment and knocks them horizontal into the rotating mechanism. The rotating mechanism drives the capsules to spin circumferentially; a multi-reflector machine-vision system images each capsule from all directions(one photo every 30° of rotation). The capsule-pushing mechanism simultaneously advances each batch into the vision detection zone and feeds the previously inspected batch into the discharge mechanism. Finally, the rejector in the discharge unit diverts defective capsules to the reject box while conforming capsules proceed to the finished-product drum or downstream processes.
