Cans travel along a 3 m long, 0.9 m high conveyor(114 mm chain plate). A 200-cap magazine drops a lid onto each can; the can then enters the rotary seaming station where 4 imported double-sided rollers(SKD31 Japanese mould steel) progressively curl and seam the lid onto the can body. Photoelectric and proximity sensors detect missing lids or faults and stop the machine. Format change-over swaps the chuck head, cap drop unit, turntable and fence; can-height changes use a hand-cranked screw jack adjustment.
