Refrigerant is compressed by a sealed scroll compressor and cooled in a V-shape finned air-cooled condenser by a 3,000 m³/h axial fan. The capillary tube throttles liquid refrigerant into the shell-and-tube evaporator coil where it boils, absorbing heat from recirculating process water. The built-in 0.37 kW pump circulates chilled water at up to 4.8 m³/h through 1 inch piping back to the 64 L insulated stainless-steel tank. The controller maintains the setpoint between 5 and 35 °C and trips the compressor on alarm conditions.
