Fonctionnement
Tablets are placed in the transparent plexiglass rotary disk (286 mm inner diameter, 39 mm depth). When started, the disk rotates at 25 rpm; an internal curved baffle lifts each tablet to the top of the disk where it falls through a 156 mm drop. After the user-preset number of revolutions (20–900), the tester auto-stops. Tablets are removed and reweighed; weight loss indicates friability.
