Fonctionnement
Material is conveyed by a feeding screw into the nip between two compaction rolls driven by a hydraulic oil-cylinder system (oil pressure 100 kg, cylinder thrust 20 T). The rolls compress the loose powder into a dense ribbon or flake. The ribbon is then broken by a granulating knife to produce uniform, dense granules of 0.3–3 mm without the need for water or organic binders. This dry process is suitable for moisture-sensitive or thermally sensitive active ingredients.
