Continuous inkjet (CIJ): a gear pump pressurizes the ink and forces it through a 62 µm nozzle to form a continuous stream of droplets. A charge electrode selectively charges individual droplets to encode the desired character matrix; charged droplets are deflected by a high-voltage deflector plate to land on the moving substrate, while uncharged droplets return to the ink tank via the gutter. Heated printhead and auto-viscosity adjustment maintain drop formation consistency across ambient temperature variations. Four head valves provide fast ink stop/supply to prevent leakage on power failure. Modular ink system allows individual component replacement without full ink-circuit disassembly.
