Fonctionnement

Concentric inner and outer ribbon blades are mounted on the agitator shaft. The inner ribbon drives material near the shaft axis axially away from the discharge port; the outer ribbon drives material near the vessel wall axially toward the discharge port. This opposing two-stream convective flow tumbles material through the full volume of the cylinder, achieving uniform mixing in a short time.
