Fonctionnement

Products on an upstream conveyor enter the heated tunnel. Stainless-steel tubular heating elements (13 kW total) maintain the tunnel air temperature to the shrink-activation point of the film (PVC, PET, POS, BOPP, or POF). Products travel through the tunnel on a mesh or slat conveyor at 0–25 m/min (infinitely variable); dwell time is set by adjusting conveyor speed. Heat causes the loose shrink sleeve or wrap to contract and conform tightly to the product profile. Products emerge on the downstream conveyor with the film fully shrunk.
