Fonctionnement

Product travels on a PTFE conveyor through two top-fed 2450 MHz microwave cavities housed in a tunnel chamber with leakage suppressors at each end. Magnetrons (Panasonic/Toshiba) deliver up to 20 kW of microwave energy whose dipole excitation of water molecules drives volumetric heating. A central PLC reads the German Optris IR pyrometer aimed at the bed and modulates microwave power to hold the setpoint (50-150 °C). A bottom-in/top-out airflow scheme uses a 0.75 kW centrifugal fan and PVC ducting to lift the released water vapour out of the cavity and vent it outdoors via a roof stack.
