After loading items in the sterilization basket and adding fresh water, the heater turns on and the device heats up. During heating, the vent valve discharges cold air; when temperature exceeds 102°C the vent valve closes and switches to intermittent venting to improve steam saturation. When set temperature is reached the sterilization countdown begins. After sterilization, automatic pressure relief (Program B) or natural cooling (Program A — required for liquids/culture media). When pressure gauge returns to 0, the lid can be opened and items removed. Safety valve releases pressure automatically if container pressure exceeds 0.24 MPa. Low-water protection cuts power and turns water indicator red.

Nettoyage et entretien

Recommended monthly cleaning. Empty water and disconnect power circuit breaker. After cooling, remove shelves and mesh basket. Use brush to remove scale on inner walls, heating elements, and water level probes. Wipe inner surfaces with towel dipped in alcohol or distilled water. Dry, replace shelves and basket. Store in well-ventilated room with non-corrosive gases. Replace rubber sealing gasket every ~12 months. Apply high-temperature grease to horizontal beam screw every 6 months.
