Fonctionnement

Feed (≤10 mm) is pre-cooled with liquid nitrogen in the pre-cool hopper to its glass-transition / brittleness temperature. Brittle material enters the mill chamber where a 22 kW VFD-driven impeller wheel drives repeated impact, collision, shear and friction between material, blades, tooth disc and particles. Classified by air-flow: on-spec particles exit to cyclone; oversized particles return to hopper. Cold nitrogen is recycled in a closed loop for energy efficiency. Temperature is precisely controlled to minimize LN2 consumption.
