Fonctionnement

The ribbon mixer operates via the shearing action of spiral ribbon blades mounted on the main shaft inside a U-shaped container. The outer ribbon conveys material from both sides toward the center; the inner ribbon conveys material from the center outward. At low rotational speed the blades curl in opposite directions forming inner and outer double-stranded helical belts, creating efficient convective mixing throughout the batch.

Nettoyage et entretien

Pre-production: clean all contact surfaces before starting. Post-shift: open the cylinder cover, brush down material residue, and wipe clean. Note: cleaning of viscous or cohesive materials is more difficult — the machine is best suited for high-volume, low-changeover applications.
