Fonctionnement

Vacuum freeze drying (lyophilization / sublimation drying) pre-freezes the water-bearing material, then sublimates the ice directly into vapour under vacuum without passing through a liquid phase. The cold trap captures the vapour, and the resulting dried product retains its original structure and biochemical properties. This machine first cools the cold trap to ≤ −60 °C before the vacuum pump starts, protecting the pump from moisture ingress.
