Funcionamiento

The motor drives the cylinder to rotate at 38.5 rpm about the horizontal axis via a girth gear mounted on the cylinder. Grinding media (steel balls / rods / pebbles) and ore inside the cylinder are lifted by liner plates under centrifugal and frictional forces to a certain height, then cascade or cataract freely off the shell wall, crushing the ore by impact and abrasion. Charge filling ratio is 25-45% of the effective cylinder volume.

Proceso de funcionamiento

1The motor drives the cylinder to rotate at 38.5 rpm about the horizontal axis via a girth gear mounted on the cylinder.
