Powder or granules are loaded into the fluid bed. Cold air enters the heating chamber at the rear, passes through primary and medium-efficiency filters, is heated to the required inlet temperature, and enters the fluid bed. The powder/particles are fluidized; binder or coating solution is delivered by a peristaltic pump to a dual-fluid atomizer and sprayed top-down onto the fluidized material. Particles bridge into granules or form a film coating; moisture is carried out by the exhaust air. Sintered-mesh collectors (0.4 µm) capture fines.
