Granular feedstock is gravity-fed from the hopper into a force-feeder that pushes powder into the rotating turret die holes. As the turret rotates (0-35 rpm), upper and lower punches travel along cam tracks: the lower punch sets fill depth (up to 15 mm), the upper and lower punches converge under the compression rollers to apply up to 80 kN, then the lower punch ejects the formed tablet (up to Φ13 mm x 6 mm thick) onto a discharge chute. With 19 stations, this produces 39,900 tablets/hour. The pressure overload device protects the punches from damage. An oil-bath drivetrain sealed below the worktable lubricates cams and turret bearings without contaminating product.
