Microwave drying: water molecules (polar molecules) in the heated material oscillate with the rapidly alternating high-frequency electromagnetic field, generating frictional heat. The microwave field energy converts directly to internal heat, raising material temperature for drying. Microwave sterilisation: the electromagnetic field's thermal effect denatures bacterial proteins and alters cell-membrane permeability, causing bacterial death through metabolic disruption. The field also affects RNA/DNA hydrogen bonds, potentially inducing gene mutation or chromosome damage. Microwave power is steplessly adjusted manually according to material temperature; temperature range 30–60 °C.
