Filled capsules enter the infeed hopper via elevator (or manually); the capsule release mechanism individually releases and lays flat each standing capsule; capsules enter the capsule rotation mechanism for circumferential spinning; the capsule push mechanism accurately delivers each spinning capsule to the machine vision detection area — the vision system uses multiple optical reflectors to reflect the rotating capsule 360° to a high-speed camera (photo taken every 30° of rotation); the push mechanism simultaneously advances the previous inspection group to the discharge mechanism; defective capsules are ejected to the reject bin via the discharge/rejection assembly; good capsules proceed to the product drum or downstream process.
