Funcionamiento

Resistive heating elements raise the ceramic-fibre chamber temperature; a microcomputer PID controller with auto-tuning modulates power based on a K-type thermocouple reading to maintain the set-point within +/-1 degree C. When the programmed hold time elapses, the furnace automatically shuts off heating.

Limpieza y mantenimiento

First-use (or after prolonged storage) bake-out required: (1) Room temperature to 200 degrees C over 4 h with furnace door ajar to allow moisture to escape; (2) 200 to 600 degrees C over 4 h with door closed; (3) 600 to 800 degrees C over 2 h with door closed. At end of each use: switch control-panel toggle to OFF, then cut main power. Do not expose heating elements to rapid quench or liquids.
