A vertical-shaft vibration motor with two eccentric weights — one above and one below the bearing housing — produces three-dimensional (vertical, horizontal, tilt) motion. By rotating the lower weight relative to the upper weight (phase angle), the operator changes the material's motion orbit and dwell time on each sieve deck, optimising for material distribution, throughput and screening efficiency. Material enters through the sealed top inlet, fines pass through the mesh of each deck and leave via the bottom outlet; coarse fractions exit through side outlets at each deck. Silicone bouncing balls beneath the mesh strike the screen from below to dislodge fines and prevent blinding. Springs between the lower base and the screen body isolate vibration from the floor.
