SED-2QMJ-H — Planeten-Kugelmühle

Four grinding jars are mounted on a single turntable. A VFD-driven motor rotates the turntable (revolution, 35–335 rpm); power is transmitted via sprocket chain (or optional gears) to each jar, causing it to spin on its own axis in the opposite direction at approximately twice the revolution speed (70–670 rpm). Grinding media inside the jars undergo high-speed collision under centrifugal and rotational forces, grinding and mixing the sample to a minimum particle size of 0.1 μm. Operating modes include single-direction, alternating, continuous, and timed.
