SED-270LXJ-F — Disc Separator

Material (slurry/turbid liquid) enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe and passes through a stack of discs. In the centrifugal field, components of different density separate at the disc neutral hole: heavier liquid (water) flows along the disc wall outward to the upper centripetal pump; heavy residue (impurities, sludge) accumulates in the residue zone of the bowl; lighter liquid (oil) moves inward and upward along the disc wall and is collected by the lower centripetal pump. Light and heavy phases are pumped out via small and large centripetal pumps respectively. Solids are discharged periodically through a ring-valve discharge.
