Air is heated and cleaned, then drawn by an induced-draft fan from below through the perforated plate of the material hopper. Inside the drying chamber, the agitator and negative pressure create fluidization; moisture rapidly evaporates and is carried away with the exhaust air, achieving fast drying of the material.
