Re-transfer thermal printing: a YMCK(or YMCKK / YMCK-UV) ribbon prints the image first onto a re-transfer film. The film is then bonded to the card via a heated transfer roller, depositing the printed layer flush to the card edges for true edge-to-edge printing. Optional UV ribbon prints invisible content visible only under UV light. Optional inline laminator presses a 0.5 mil or 1.0 mil clear or holographic film over the card for security and abrasion resistance. The printer auto-corrects card output position; mag-stripe / contact / contactless smart-card encoding performed inline.
