Catalytic combustion principle: combustible gas drawn by the internal micro-pump passes over a heated platinum/palladium catalyst bead; the exothermic reaction changes bead resistance, which is measured by a Wheatstone bridge circuit to derive gas concentration. The pump suction force is adjustable across 10 levels(up to 1 L/min) to accommodate various sampling distances. Temperature and pressure compensation circuitry corrects readings for ambient conditions. Concentrations are displayed on LCD dot-matrix and logged; alarms trigger at user-set thresholds.
