Capsules are bulk-fed by an automatic hopper/feeder(patented, CN 2022210860305) that resolves height/position interface issues. Capsules are sorted into 48 individual channels via a sequencing mechanism. A novel pickup-and-weigh mechanism reduces capsule pickup time and maximizes stable weighing time on custom integrated load cells. Each load cell has a stable time <0.2 s, resolution 0.1 mg, and adaptive filtering to reject vibration-induced noise. Ethernet interface connects to B&R industrial PC for high-speed data processing. Defective capsules are automatically rejected; accepted capsules exit via an outfeed mechanism. The system can link online to a capsule-filling machine for real-time fill-weight correction.
