Vapor-compression chiller. Hermetic scroll compressor compresses R22/R407 refrigerant which is condensed by 5000 m³/h forced-air over a copper-tube/aluminum-fin coil. Capillary-tube expansion drops the refrigerant into a shell-and-tube coil evaporator submerged in a 96 L stainless insulated tank, chilling process water. The 0.37 kW pump(16 m head) circulates chilled water through 1" piping back to the customer process. Eight safety interlocks protect the system.
