Powder particles are fluidized in the fluid bed by heated, purified air, which preheats and mixes the material. Binder solution is atomized and sprayed in, causing particles to agglomerate. Hot air evaporates the moisture, the binder solidifies, and uniform, porous, spherical granules are formed.
