Slurry enters the rotating bowl through a feed pipe inside the scroll. Once the bowl and scroll reach speed(up to 4800 rpm), the high centrifugal field drives the heavier solids to the bowl wall, forming an annular cake layer; the lighter clarified liquid forms an inner concentric layer that overflows through an adjustable weir at the cylindrical end. A two-stage planetary differential makes the scroll rotate at a fixedΔrpm(5-30 rpm) relative to the bowl, conveying the cake along the conical end and discharging it through a wear-resistant ceramic-bushed solids port. Continuous feed gives continuous separation. Dual-VFD control of main and auxiliary motors lets operators adjust bowl speed and differential independently to match flow and concentration changes.
